Case conversion, word and character counts, Inspect, Clean, Mark, Extract, diff, and Undo operate locally. InvisiChar does not upload the text you enter or the results it creates.
What stays local
- Your input, marked or cleaned output, extracted marker, and finding context.
- Exact characters, positions, text lengths, word counts, and revision history.
- Clipboard content. Copy occurs only after you choose a Copy action and the browser grants it.
The tool has no account, upload service, or database for your text. The counter retains text and counts only in page memory until you leave or refresh. It does not read the clipboard; Copy counts writes only a count summary after you choose it.
Site analytics
The case converter keeps input and output only in page memory until you leave or refresh. Copy result writes the converted text only after you choose it; the tool never reads your clipboard. Its analytics records only the selected lower/upper style, a fixed success/empty/too-large/output-too-large outcome and a result-copy action. Example conversions and copies do not count as real use.
When analytics is enabled, the counter records only a fixed accepted or too-large category, at most once each per page visit, and a summary-copy action. Examples do not count as real use. Text, exact counts, lengths and content hashes are never included.
InvisiChar uses Umami Cloud EU to understand page visits, time each page remains visible in the foreground, broad feature use, and errors. Umami is enabled by default when configured. You can turn it off at any time through Analytics settings in the footer; the tools work the same without it.
Analytics receives the site hostname, a sanitized page path, and limited, predefined measurements. The hostname separates this tool from other tools sharing the same analytics account. Testing on the staging hostname is recorded separately from production by hostname filters; the unfiltered overview includes test data. When a page is left, it may also receive the total foreground-visible time in whole seconds, capped at one hour, and a fixed time range. This measures page visibility, not whether you read it. It never receives your input, output, marker, finding context, exact characters, query string, or full referring URL.
Loading Umami exposes ordinary connection information to the provider. Umami states that it uses no cookies, does not track people across sites, and does not store IP addresses. This site's analytics data is retained for no longer than six months and is accessible only to the site operator. A temporary session marker excludes test-mode visits in the same tab. Turning analytics off stops future measurement from this browser but does not delete data already received by Umami.
Optional support payments
Optional support is handled by PayPal. The page asks PayPal for its official SDK only after you choose Buy me a coffee. The Hosted Button checkout is rendered inside the dialog after that click.
PayPal handles the amount, account, and payment details. InvisiChar does not receive your card details, PayPal account details, payer identity, transaction ID, payment amount, or payment status. PayPal may receive ordinary connection and device information under its own privacy terms.
Voluntary feedback
Feedback offers an optional Yes, Partly, or No rating and an optional message. Your selected rating, fixed reason category and message are saved together by our separate Cloudflare feedback service. Feedback works independently of analytics settings and browser Do Not Track. New ratings are not sent to Umami.
The service also receives a fixed tool context and page path, a random submission ID and submission time. Only text you write in the message box is included as the message. We do not attach tool input, output, clipboard content, files, or diagnostics. Messages are limited to 1000 Unicode characters. Please do not include passwords, payment details, or sensitive information. This form does not collect your name or email and does not provide replies; use Contact if you need a reply.
Feedback is visible only to the site operator in Cloudflare D1 and is retained for up to 90 days, or 7 days in test environments. Cloudflare backup retention is separate. A random submission ID prevents duplicate saves when retrying the same complete feedback; it is not used to link feedback to analytics. Drafts stay in page memory until you refresh or leave.
When feedback collection is configured, Cloudflare Turnstile loads only when you choose Send feedback, including for a rating without a message. A saved submission can be confirmed again without repeating verification. Cloudflare may process ordinary connection and security information. If collection is unavailable, your draft remains here and the Unicode tools keep working.
Questions and choices
Use Analytics settings in the footer to manage analytics when it is available. Support payments are always optional. For privacy questions, use the contact page; do not include secrets or sensitive text.
